What we have invented, and what you can do with it

A public register of the inventions Leumas has filed, each with its real status, what it does and what it solves. Every entry has a next step attached, because a register without one is a museum.

The status on each entry is exact

Provisional, filed, pending, granted and lapsed mean five different things, and the difference between them is the difference between a date and a right. Each entry renders its status from a fixed vocabulary rather than from a description somebody wrote, and the glossary explains each word. Nothing here is called "patented" unless a patent was granted.

What is not here is not an oversight

Publishing an invention before it is filed is a public disclosure, and in most places that forfeits the right to patent it. Anything not yet filed is absent from this site entirely — not summarised and not hinted at. That is why the register may be shorter than you expect.

Every entry has a next step

Licence it, build on it, acquire it, or just ask what it does. Those are different conversations with different answers, so the enquiry asks which one you are starting rather than dropping everything into one contact form.

Questions

Why are some things missing from this register?

Because publishing an invention before it is filed is a public disclosure, and in most jurisdictions that forfeits the right to patent it. Anything not yet filed is deliberately absent — not summarised, not teased, not listed as "coming". An empty space here is a decision, not an omission.

What does "patent pending" actually mean?

That an application has been filed and is waiting to be examined. It is not a patent, it confers no enforceable rights on its own, and it may never become one. It does establish a date, which is often the point.

Can I license one of these?

That is what the register is for. Every entry carries a way to ask, and the enquiry goes to a person rather than a queue. Terms depend on what you want to do with it — using it in a product, building on it, or acquiring it outright are three different conversations.
